Ellipsis Productions […] started as a vehicle for emerging and experienced Sydney and Melbourne artists working in various mediums to meet, collaborate and get their art out and about.
Artists from music, film and arts backgrounds were approached with the Loss, Lust and Longing installation idea and the event grew wings. It started off with only three forms of media (sound, film and poetry) and has grown to encompass design, millinery, digital art and much more. Ellipsis hopes to present this and many other collaborative ventures in the future.
Former Sydney and now Melbourne writer Yvette Harvey is the instigator behind Ellipsis and she believes in the power of art to rouse, stir, and invigorate. She strongly believes in art as an experience and hopes to continue working with people and groups that strive to evoke a response and to get audiences reacting, reflecting and feeling.
